Our ability to deliver the next generation of STEM professionals depends on a model where working professionals volunteer to coach or mentor a program or team. Our dependency on working professionals means we have to build teams and programs that impact the workday as little as possible. The majority of our programs and teams meet in the weekday evenings between 6-8pm and/or weekends.
Each year we continue to grow. Our success depends on new volunteers who can work with our experienced coaches and lead the teams through the competitive robotics season of VEX Robotics and RECF programming.
For 2024-2025 school year, we plan to add AI Robotics; MathCounts competition teams; and Aerial Drone competition teams. We want to spend the beginning of the summer developing our coaches in order to begin with the students in July/August time frame.
Having volunteers from the workforce gives the best connection between the students in school and the employers who need to hire these same students.
